Plan G covers everything Original Medicare leaves uncovered except the Part B deductible. Here is what that means in practice.

  • One callback at most — we don't bombard you
  • Your info stays private and is never sold
  • Not connected with the U.S. government or Medicare

What Plan G covers

  • Part A coinsurance and hospital costs (up to 365 additional days after Medicare benefits run out)
  • Part B coinsurance and copayment
  • First three pints of blood
  • Part A hospice coinsurance
  • Skilled nursing facility coinsurance
  • Part A deductible
  • Part B excess charges
  • Foreign travel emergency (up to plan limits)

What Plan G does not cover

Plan G does not cover the Part B deductible. You pay that out of pocket each year.

Plan G also does not include prescription drug coverage. You need a separate Part D plan.

It does not cover dental, vision, or hearing — those are bought separately.

Why people pick Plan G

  • Predictable yearly cost: monthly premium + Part B deductible + drug plan
  • Any Medicare-accepting provider nationwide
  • No prior authorization
  • Plan G benefits are standardized — every carrier offers the same coverage

Compare to Plan N (lower premium, small copays) and to Medicare Advantage (network-based, lower premium).
