What Plan N covers
Plan N covers most of what Plan G covers — Part A and B coinsurance, hospital costs, hospice, skilled nursing facility, the Part A deductible, and foreign travel emergency.
What Plan N does NOT cover:
- Part B deductible (you pay it)
- Part B excess charges (rare, but they exist)
- Up to $20 copay for doctor visits and $50 for ER visits that do not result in admission
Why people pick Plan N
- Lower monthly premium than Plan G
- Predictable network freedom (any Medicare-accepting provider)
- Small, capped copays at visits
It fits people who do not visit doctors frequently and want a lower fixed monthly cost.
